Woodwork in the woods – Day 3

Weather still good, although much cooler and with the odd shower. This was a day mainly for harvesting some more wood (pictured) to make walking sticks and wooden spoons when based back at school. Also time to tidy up the magical woods and leave them to nature once more…..the only signs that a group of children have been working in them for 3 days being a few habitat piles of sticks and off-cuts for insects and hedgehogs, and the odd new trackway through the vegetation made by the repeated passage of feet.
