Streets of London – Ralph McTell

We previously reported on the fundraising efforts of Rowan class (pupils 9-11 years of age) during Martinmas week. Rowan class completed a sponsored silence and many many laps of the playground. They raised the amazing sum of £705, which has been donated to support the homeless, via St Martin’s Housing Trust.

Ralph McTell, who wrote the song Streets of London, was sent the recording of Rowan class singing his song, and he kindly wrote back to the class to praise them for their efforts.
