This is a video clip from a series we have recently produced of our upper school pupils. In this one pupils explain how, in their view, the *Steiner School Certificate (SSC), is different to studying for GCSE’s and A Levels, and what they think about it as a qualification.

Norwich Steiner School is one of three Steiner Schools in the country to be offering a new Level 3 school leaving qualification. The Steiner School Certificate (SSC), developed in New Zealand and based entirely on the Steiner-Waldorf curriculum is a three-year course of study. The SSC takes a multi-disciplinary approach with similarities in this respect to the International Baccalaureate.

To provide an insight into Norwich Steiner School & how the older pupils are experiencing this new qualification, the school is producing a series of authentic videos for release on the web. To start the series, three 16-year old pupils are interviewed about their school experience and the resultant video has been divided into a number of bite-sized clips to help guide the viewer select areas of his or her own interest without the need to sit and watch a long video.

* Steiner School Certificate (SSC) has been renamed the New Zealand Certificate of Steiner Education (NZCSE).
